Meet the Team- Caitlin

Meet our newest team member, Caitlin Porter Loverin

Caitlin acquired the position of Fire Cider's Marketing Coordinator this month, working under the leadership of Marketing Director, Stephanie Gravalese.

You may know her from her previous role as Marketing & Events Manager at Guido's Fresh Marketplace, Pittsfield & Great Barrington, where she slung out social media posts and coordinated events & demos, both in the store and by representing Guido's throughout the local community.

We sat with Caitlin and asked her all the pertinent get-to-know-you questions:

If you were a Game of Thrones Character, who would you be? Oh, I'm a huge fan. I've read all the books. I would have to say Arya, since she's so ruthless.

What's your favorite social media platform? Instagram does it for me, but I've been trying to play around more with Snapchat. I rely on my daughter to give me pointers.

What's your favorite use for Fire Cider? So, I love making a broth of miso, nut butter, and Fire Cider. I then throw in diced tofu and lots of veggies- usually nori, thinly sliced radishes and rainbow carrots, scallions, sprouts, and whatever else I have on hand. I plan to create a blog post with a more defined recipe on the Fire Cider website soon!

What food would you never want to live without? Hot sauce, definitely. I put it on everything, nothing's sacred. Salad, soup, sandwiches, toast, oatmeal, I'm even good with it on desserts. My standard is Cholula, but I love super-spicy obscure sauces. I should join a hot sauce club!

What do you do in your free time? Free time is a tricky thing, since I am a mom of three, but when I have the time, I read, cook and bake, knit, and Netflix-binge.

If you could only wear one pair of shoes for the rest of your life, what would they be? They would be the shoes I'm wearing, actually! Strappy, cute, simple sandals. They go with everything, right? Except maybe that wouldn't work in the winter. I'll have to move back south.

What are you most looking forward to with team Fire Cider? There are so many possibilities! I love the growth and energy here. I'm diving into working on the website, contributing to the Blog and social media content, and helping to define the branding. My favorite experience so far has been visiting the production facility and working my butt off shoveling fruits and veggies into the pressing machine. You can see me with the press in the photo; looks like fun, right?
