Meet the Team: Austin

Meet the Team: Austin

You're already an expert at getting Fire Cider out of our beautiful brown glass bottles, but did you ever think about how it gets in there? Austin could tell you all about it! When we added a bottling line to our new production kitchen a few months ago, we needed the right person to ensure that our bottling and labeling processes run smoothly - and Austin was it! Get to know this culinary dynamo and the newest key player in daily operations here at Fire Cider HQ!

How long have you been part of the Team?
About two months now.

What do you do here at HQ? I’m the Bottling Supervisor here at Fire Cider.

What is your favorite way to use Fire Cider?  I like to sear off pork chops in a skillet, and then deglaze the pan with Fire Cider African Bronze. I allow it to reduce til the sugars are activated, and then add butter. Makes an awesome sauce!

When did you first try Fire Cider? Five years ago.

Tacos or Pizza? Pizza. There's no question.

Do you have any hobbies? Special talents? I was a chef for years and consider myself a foodie. I would definitely consider my kitchen knife skills to be my special talent.

What's your favorite music? genre/musician? I've been really enjoying new country.

Comics, novels or movies? Movies.

Two favorite movies? Saving Private Ryan & Into The Blue

If you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future? The past.

Super strength, telepathic powers, or the ability to control time? Why? Definitely control time. I would love to go back and see some specific moments in history.

Okay, tell us something that not many people know about you.  I once accidentally fish hooked my hand. (ouch!)

We're looking ahead to the holidays - anything you love about the season? I look forward to spending the holidays with my family. I also love snowshoeing.

Thanks, Austin - and welcome to the Team!
